Competition 2010

In Jan. 2010, over 1800 high school teams each began a challenging project:  build a  competitive robot within a 6-week period. In March-April, these robots will compete in tournaments, playing matches in a (3 vs. 3) soccer-like game, across the country. Students work with volunteer mentors (including professional engineers) to learn life skills valued by employers and are eligible to earn scholarships reserved for FIRST participants ($11M in 2010).
